Hello fellow radio enthusiast!
I wanted to give you all a quick update on things that Brightleaf Amateur Radio Club is planning for this year. We are looking at having several guest speakers at our regular monthly meetings. Topics will be on CW operations, propagation, Emergency Communications, etc. We will also be having regularly planned activities such as excercises, POTA activations and even some field trips to see the ECU mobile command vehicles and Emergency response equipment. I have included one snapshot of the control panel inside of just one of the vehicles.
Please mark your calendars for the upcoming statewide excercise that is taking place on 25 June 2026. This excercise is intentionally scheduled to be the Thursday before field day weekend.
Please get the word out about these exciting events. Invite anybody and everybody to join us! Let’s make this year the best ever at Brightleaf!
