Every year, the ARRL sponsors an international radio event called field day. On the 4th week end in June, Amateur radio operators go out into an open field (supposedly) and operate as if it is the end of the world. Solar, battery, generator or network power can be used. Antennas are erected and radios are put up under tents and operated for 24 hours trying to make the most contacts possible. A real test of emergency preparedness with a light spirit of competition. Here is a presentation to try and get our club coordinated for this large scale event. There are many ways to do this, this is our attempt to organize it. (2023). See ARRL’s web page for further details on making a perfect Field Day.
